As a key member of the Wales Medicines Strategy Group, we are seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to lead our training and development initiatives in cardiac physiology. This is an exciting opportunity for an expert practitioner to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with expertise in cardiac physiology and a proven track record of delivering training and education programs. The successful candidate will have experience in managing teams, developing training strategies, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Developing and implementing a comprehensive training strategy that meets the needs of our staff and patients;
  2. Leading and managing a team of cardiac physiologists to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care;
  3. Providing clinical leadership and ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standards;
  4. Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Maintain professional knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training;
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in patient care;
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that reflect best practice in cardiac physiology.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Master's degree in a relevant healthcare subject or HCPC equivalence;
  • Relevant BSc or equivalent level of undergraduate knowledge;
  • Evidence of postgraduate study in a clinical area;
  • Higher training qualification (e.g., FRCPath);
  • Evidence of postgraduate study in management/leadership.
