Job Description

As a Community Maternity Care Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, effective, and compassionate care to women and babies across our community services. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of midwives, ensuring that they provide safe and clinically effective care to women and their families.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams within the clinical environment to deliver care to women and babies whose needs are complex. This includes working in partnership with GPs, Health Visitors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways.

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage a team of midwives to deliver high-quality care to women and babies.
  • Ensure that midwives provide safe and clinically effective care to women and their families.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams within the clinical environment to deliver care to women and babies whose needs are complex.
  • In partnership with GPs, Health Visitors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways.

Requirements:

  • Current and valid NMC pin.
  • Band 6 Registered Midwife.
  • Evidence of CPD.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Band 6 midwife.
  • Experience working in acute setting.

Salary: £44,606 - £55,760 per annum (inclusive of DPD)

Location: Cross sites, Derby, DE22 3NE
