Purchase Ledger Assistant Job Description

CMA Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their busy Accounts Payable team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to provide support to a well-established FMCG organisation in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process a high volume of purchase ledger invoices through to payment.
  • Manage weekly and monthly payment runs, including supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Manage key supplier accounts, including query resolution and allocation of direct debit payments.
  • Set up direct debit schedules and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in Accounts Payable, with exposure to high volume invoice processing and PO systems.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and intermediate/advanced Excel knowledge (lookups and pivot tables).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to start at short notice (1 week or less).
