Disability Cricket Participation Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished professional to fill the position of Disability Cricket Participation Specialist at Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport (LRS).

This pivotal role is centered around developing and implementing strategies to increase participation in disability cricket across the county.

The successful candidate will promote and grow opportunities for adults and juniors to engage in disability cricket through various programs and competitions.

Key responsibilities include identifying areas of demand and potential facilities access to further develop disability cricket opportunities, supporting volunteer workforce development within recreational clubs and hubs across the county.

Delivering coaching sessions in schools and SEND settings, establishing partnerships between schools and local clubs/hubs to connect participants with their optimal next cricket experience are also crucial aspects of this role.

Collaboration with Lord's Taverners and ECB to advance disability cricket in the county is also essential.

Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and compliance for cricket in the county is vital, while prioritizing inclusivity and providing talent identification feedback into the County Club's performance pathway.

Tracking performance against strategy goals and KPIs is also a critical responsibility.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain Functional Skills in English and maths (if not already achieved), as well as progression towards a Level 2 Community Activator Coach apprenticeship over 12-18 months.
