A rapidly expanding groundwork company in Stafford is seeking a full-time Procurement Specialist to assist with the efficient running of material purchasing. The ideal candidate will contribute positively towards saving costs, minimizing waste and increasing profits by sourcing suppliers, negotiating and managing procurement processes.

The successful Procurement Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Sourcing materials through preferred suppliers, ensuring optimal profit margins.
  • Collating documentation, issuing material tenders and evaluating supplier quotations.
  • Managing material orders, adhering to agreed timescales and site specifications.
  • Handling invoicing and addressing queries promptly.
  • Generating monthly spend reports.
  • Assisting with site call-offs as required.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Effective communication skills with good negotiation abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in procurement of building and construction materials would be an advantage.

This role is based in our office in Stafford, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary up to £31,000 per year.

Appointment will be subject to right to work checks and satisfactory references.
