Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Category Buyer to join our team at RHL. This is an opportunity to work in the professional services division, generating category strategies for the group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operational aspects of the supply chain, supporting the operational team in their division, and developing category strategies to ensure a robust and competitive supply chain for the long term.

This role involves ensuring early engagement with engineering and suppliers to source the best products from the beginning of projects. You will also manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for categories, ensuring product availability and right first time delivery to achieve successful machine launches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple resource/capacity projects with suppliers to meet company targets.
  • Support Division as an escalation point for Delivery/Quality/Warranty issues relating to categories.
  • Lead contractual negotiations with suppliers for Long Term/Development/Warranty Agreements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and engineering to identify new technologies reducing costs or adding value to machines.
  • Utilize procurement experience in fast-moving production/manufacturing environments to drive business success.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement within a fast-moving production/manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with supplier management and negotiation techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
