About the Role

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is seeking a highly skilled Capacity Planning Manager to support Network Capacity Management in the EU Middle Mile transportation network. As a key member of the team, you will drive customer experience by influencing development, planning, and execution of production planning cycles to ensure robust and cost-optimal labor plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop short- and medium-term operational capacity plans to optimize cost and service associated with staffing
  • Analyze planning gaps and deviations, and translate them into actionable items to improve future plans
  • Interact with business teams to validate and challenge inputs using a data-driven approach
  • Focus on controllership, driving continuous improvement and standardization of processes, including implementation of planning best practices and automation initiatives
  • Communicate complex analysis and insights to senior leadership to influence tactical and strategic business decisions
  • Work with various data sources, identify incomplete or inaccurate data, and escalate discrepancies for resolution
  • Analyze and solve business problems related to data deviations through identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
  • Participate in global operational and production planning initiatives and projects to identify and adjust to growing business needs

Requirements
  • A degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics, or a technical field
  • Relevant experience working in a supply chain, transportation, project management, or management consulting role
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite in a professional environment
  • Relevant experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant experience in process improvement
  • Operational background
  • Understanding of SQL
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight
