Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English teacher to join our team at Durrington High School. As a key member of our English department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students, ensuring they meet their full potential
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our knowledge-rich curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and effective
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods
  • Assess and provide feedback to students, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of our English provision

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in English language and literature
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent student outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible and proactive approach
