About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and flexible Educational Support Assistant to join our team of Secondary Cover Supervisors in Shropshire. As a key member of our education recruitment specialist, you will be responsible for providing continuity of education in the absence of class teachers. Your duties will include distributing and supervising pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behavior, and upholding the expectations of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality educational support to students in secondary schools across Shropshire
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure seamless lesson delivery
  • Maintain a productive learning environment through effective classroom management
Requirements
  • UK degree or overseas equivalent with NARIC verification (or working towards one)
  • Level 2 or 3 TA qualification with confidence to lead groups in KS3 & KS4
  • Experience working with children ages 11-18 in non-school environments (e.g., sports clubs, scouts, youth clubs/workshops)
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to undertake a DBS through Aspire People
  • Valid right to work in the UK
