Patient Service Advisor

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Patient Service Advisor to join our dynamic team at Manchester Integrative Medical Practice. As a key member of our front-line staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare professionals.
Main Responsibilities- Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Process personal, telephone, and e-requests for appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the caller's request appropriately.
- Signpost patients to the correct service, providing clear and concise information.
- Initiate contact with and respond to requests from patients, team members, and external agencies.
- Clinically code data on EMIS WEB to ensure accurate patient records.
- Photocopy documentation as required and input data into patient healthcare records as necessary.
- Direct requests for information, SAR, insurance/solicitors letters, and DVLA forms to the administrative team.
- Manage all queries in an efficient manner, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Carry out system searches as requested and maintain a clean, tidy, and effective working area at all times.
- Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients.
- Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach.

Person Specification- Good literacy skills (spelling, comprehension, etc.)
- Good numeracy skills
- GCSE-level standard education
- Fluent in other languages (desirable)
- AMSPAR Receptionist Qualification (desirable)
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (desirable)
- Experience of working with the general public
- Administrative experience (desirable)
- Healthcare experience (desirable)
- Polite and confident
- Flexible and co-operative
- Motivated
- Forward thinker
- High levels of integrity and loyalty
- Sensitive and empathetic in distressing situations
- Ability to work under pressure
- Flexibility to work outside of core office hours
- Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
