We are looking for a skilled Environmental Compliance Manager to join our team at HR GO Recruitment's client in Essex.

About the Role

This full-time position comes with an estimated salary of £45,000 per year. As an Environmental Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality, health, safety, environmental, and facility management functions at our client's busy sub-contract Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Facility.

You will work closely with the team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, and drive continuous improvement in QHS&E performance.

A successful candidate will have a data-driven approach with strong analytical and decision-making skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of quality and environmental management systems.

In addition to a competitive salary, this role offers occasional travel to other facilities and suppliers as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility
  • Drive continuous improvement in QHS&E performance
  • Approve first-off article inspection reports
  • Handle customer complaints, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and involved
  • Prepare and present the annual management review
  • Host third-party audits, including those for hazardous areas, quality, environmental, and health & safety
  • Maintain and update company health & safety registers
  • Review and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and other relevant regulations
  • Analyse and report on quality and environmental metrics quarterly and annually
  • Promote a culture of health and safety, engaging all employees to raise awareness
  • Conduct health and safety risk assessments
  • Lead quality and environmental improvement initiatives across all departments
  • Manage the introduction and implementation of ISO 45001
