Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to join our team at Guiseley Manor Care Centre. As a key member of our domestic services team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our care home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas of the care home are clean and tidy.
  • Follow guidance from the Head Housekeeper and contribute to the achievement of our care home's standards for housekeeping.
  • Undertake general cleaning tasks and follow any other cleaning duties as delegated by the Head Housekeeper.
  • Carry out laundry duties as required.
  • Ensure the working environment is free from hazards and be aware of the risks when using equipment.
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults in our care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in non-domestic cleaning and working in a care setting would be beneficial.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow simple written and verbal instructions.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Display reliability and trustworthiness.
