We're looking for a highly experienced Deputy Home Manager to join our values-driven team in Duston, Northampton. As a key figure in creating a positive and stable home environment for young people with EBD needs, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support.

About the Role

As Deputy Manager, you'll work alongside the Registered Manager to ensure high standards of care are consistently met, adhering to Ofsted regulations and quality standards. Your strong leadership skills and excellent communication will enable you to mentor and supervise care staff, fostering a supportive environment and guiding their professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Operations: Support the Registered Manager in managing daily activities, ensuring the smooth running of the home.
  • Care Planning: Develop and update individualized care plans tailored to each young person's unique needs, focusing on emotional, educational, and therapeutic growth.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise care staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Safeguarding: Act as a safeguarding lead, implementing policies and protocols that protect young people's welfare and well-being.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with social workers, healthcare providers, families, and education staff to deliver holistic support and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Resource Management: Oversee budgeting, staffing, and ensure the home remains a safe and welcoming space for residents.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualifications: Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
  • Experience: At least 3 years in children's residential care, with knowledge of Ofsted standards and best practices.
  • Skills & Traits: Strong leadership, understanding of Ofsted legislation, excellent communication, and emotional resilience to manage challenging situations effectively.
