Our team is passionate about delivering high-quality care and support, and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker or Learning Support Worker to join us.
Role Overview:
- Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with various needs, including behavioural support, mental health, non-verbal communication, and learning difficulties.
- Support clients in daily activities, promoting independence and well-being.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and other professionals, ensuring a collaborative approach to care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided, adhering to data protection policies.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of service users, monitoring their health and providing appropriate support.
Requirements:
- Certificate in Epilepsy Awareness and Medication Awareness.
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature, with a commitment to delivering person-centred care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Basic IT skills, including touchscreen devices and computers.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle, with a commitment to safe and responsible driving practices.
- Up-to-date medication, moving, and manual handling training, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Enhanced Adult and Child workforce DBS (update service), with a commitment to safeguarding and protecting vulnerable individuals.
