About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Functional Assessor to join our team at Maximus. As a Clinical Assessor, you will play a vital role in conducting thorough assessments to determine the impact of a person's disability or health condition on their daily life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to gather information about a person's condition and its effects on their daily life.
- Use your clinical expertise to produce a comprehensive report to support the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining eligibility for benefits.
- Work with a diverse range of customers, including those with mental health conditions, and provide a respectful and empathetic service.
- Manage your caseload efficiently to deliver high-quality assessments and meet individual and team targets.
Requirements
- NMC registered nurse with at least 1 year's post-registration experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- Comfortable working with a range of conditions, including mental health.
