We are seeking an experienced Ecologist to join our team in a pioneering company that specializes in renewable energy, residential development, logistics, education, and leisure. As an Ecologist, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative ecological projects, receive comprehensive training, and enjoy remote working options while advancing your career to management or senior roles.
In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking extended phase 1 habitat surveys, conducting phase 2 surveys for protected species, and producing high-quality ecological reports. You will also manage and design ecological surveys and mitigation efforts, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and have the chance to mentor junior team members as you develop your skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and manage phase 1 and 2 habitat surveys and produce technical reports.
- Oversee projects and review ecological assessments.
- Develop and implement ecological survey and mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Ecologist in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of ecological principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
