About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ecologist to join our team at CHM Recruit. As a key member of our consultancy, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality ecological expertise to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake a wide range of ecological consultancy contracts, including protected species surveys, site and habitat surveys, and mitigation strategies.
  • Provide conservation management advice and ecological clerk of works services on selected projects.
  • Line manage an Assistant Ecologist and delegate tasks to the Principal Ecologist as needed.
Requirements
  • Degree in ecology or equivalent.
  • Membership of CIEEM or working towards it.
  • Protected species licence (Bat Survey Level 2 or above).
  • Minimum 4 years relevant work experience.
  • Understanding of UK environmental legislation and policy.
  • Experience in ecological field survey work and report writing.
