About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ecologist to join our dynamic Nature team at AECOM. As a Senior Ecologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological services to our clients across various sectors, including energy, defence, and water.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation of bids and tenders for ecological services, ensuring a strong understanding of client needs and market trends.
  • Plan, schedule, and organize ecological project work, ensuring effective resource allocation and budget management.
  • Deliver high-quality ecological consultancy and advisory services to clients, including habitat assessments, species surveys, and impact assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, ensuring seamless project delivery and excellent client satisfaction.
  • Support the production of ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species licence applications.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in planning and delivery of ecological services on projects in the UK or Ireland.
  • Well-developed understanding of relevant wildlife conservation or in relation to at least one major habitat type or species.
  • Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area, including protected species licences.
