Job Summary:

The Charity Shop Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the charity shop, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of Age UK Worcester, Malvern Hills and Hereford. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of staff and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage the day-to-day operations of the charity shop, including stock management, customer service, and staff supervision.
  • To develop and implement effective retail strategies to increase sales and revenue.
  • To maintain accurate records of business transactions and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
  • To promote the work of Age UK Worcester, Malvern Hills and Hereford through the shop's daily activities.
  • To develop and maintain good working relationships with other shops and local traders.

Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team of staff and volunteers.
  • Experience of working in a retail environment, preferably in a charity shop setting.
  • Knowledge of financial procedures and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
