Portering Team Leader - Operations Manager
Medway NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Portering Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our Estates & Facilities department, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of the Portering Department, ensuring that all tasks and duties are completed in a professional and timely manner.
Main Responsibilities
As a Portering Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the Portering Department, including supervising and administering post holders and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Liaising with patients, trust departments, and external companies and agencies to provide a professional and courteous service.
- Coordinating and producing staff duties and rosters, ensuring that any staff absence is covered.
- Delegating tasks as necessary and utilizing good leadership and problem-solving skills to ensure that the Trust's policies are upheld.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a management or supervisory role within a healthcare or facilities environment.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current and developing law and legislation in relation to NHS services.
- High-level IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate and communicate with patients and staff at all levels.
