Job Summary

Portering Department Manager

Medway NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Portering Department Manager to lead the daily operations of the Portering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the department's tasks and duties in a professional and timely manner.

Main Responsibilities

The Portering Department Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the Portering Department
  • Supervising and administering the post holders designated area of responsibility
  • Coordinating and producing all staff duties and rosters
  • Liaising with all users of the portering service in a professional manner

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2 years management or team leading experience in healthcare or facilities
  • Experience of carrying out audits and delivering training
  • High level of IT skills on Microsoft Outlook, Word applications, and Excel
  • Strong communication skills
