Job Title: Portering Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Portering Team Leader to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of the Portering Department, ensuring that all tasks and duties are completed in a professional and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise the Portering Department, ensuring that all staff are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Coordinate and produce staff duties and rosters, ensuring that adequate staffing levels are maintained.
  • Liaise with patients, trust departments, and external agencies to ensure a high-quality service is provided.
  • Delegating tasks and utilizing good leadership and problem-solving skills to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Requirements:
  • 2 years' experience in a management or team-leading role in a healthcare or facilities environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current and developing law and legislation in relation to NHS and facilities services.
  • High level of IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to relate and communicate with patients and staff at all levels.
