About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Encompass (Dorset). As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities, providing assistance, encouragement, and practical help to help them achieve their personal goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with individuals, their families, and the wider support network.

About You:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of people.
  • Previous experience or qualifications in mental health care preferred but not essential.
  • Flexibility in working hours, with alternative weekends required.

Induction sessions occur every two weeks on Monday and Tuesday. Attendance is crucial, especially for part-time, weekend staff, and those with a second job. Flexibility is required as some training, such as manual handling, is only held on weekdays.
