The Workplace Health and Safety team plays a vital role in ensuring that our workplaces are safe and healthy environments for our employees. As a Senior Amazon Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that works collaboratively with managers, associates, and local governments to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Amazon Specialist. The successful candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and Implement Policies: Develop, review, and update health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and implement controls to minimize risks.
  3. Provide Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety matters, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.
  4. Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders to ensure that health and safety information is shared and understood.
  5. Identify Opportunities for Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance workplace safety and well-being.

Requirements

  • Education to a degree level and additional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSH Diploma level.
  • Professional training in a technical profession, preferably mechatronics or electrics.
  • Relevant experience managing projects.
  • Relevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
