Primary SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. This role involves working with children who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to support children with their learning.
About You
You will need to be patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with children and their families. A strong understanding of the principles of inclusive education is essential for this role. You must also have experience working with children who have SEND and be able to provide one-to-one support, small group work, and assist with classroom management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months Primary experience
- Able to provide 2 or more references covering the last 3 years
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient and empathetic approach
- Ability to work effectively with children who have additional needs
