Job Overview

Taylor Woodrow is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager to lead the successful delivery of multiple civils schemes in the South West region. Based in Bristol, this role will involve working closely with our highways team to oversee projects from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for the delivery of highways civils schemes, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with National Highways, suppliers, and stakeholders to facilitate project success.
  • Collaborate with the Pre-Construction team to develop project programs and influence project outcomes.
  • Manage site teams and supply chain partners to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
  • Develop and manage contractual programs, updating cost forecasts in conjunction with the commercial team.
  • Coach and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Procure materials, plant, and sub-contractors to meet project targets.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in identifying future work opportunities within the region.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in delivering multiple civils schemes or a major project within highways.
  • A formal qualification in a civil engineering-related subject is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
