Job Overview

Taylor Woodrow is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of multiple civils schemes in the South West region. Based in Bristol, the successful candidate will work closely with our highways team to oversee the successful execution of projects, including roads, structures, bank stabilizations, bridge refurbishments, and tunnel refurbishments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategies for the successful delivery of highways civils schemes
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with National Highways to ensure collaborative project delivery
  3. Contribute to the planning stages of highways schemes, ensuring effective project management
  4. Lead site teams and supply chain partners to ensure safe and timely project completion
  5. Collaborate with the Pre-Construction team and clients to develop project programs and influence project outcomes
  6. Develop and manage contractual programs, updating cost forecasts with the commercial team
  7. Coach and train team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  8. Procure materials, plant, and sub-contractors to meet project targets
  9. Assist the Operations Manager in identifying future work opportunities within the region

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in delivering multiple civils schemes or major projects within highways
  2. A formal qualification in a civil engineering-related subject is advantageous
  3. Knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts
