Pertemps is supporting Royal Mail in recruiting for a Postal Delivery Worker role across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will start your day in the local delivery office sorting and collecting post/parcels to be delivered.
  • You will be given a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for deliveries, which will also act as your routing system, telling you where to go to next.
  • The role will be physically demanding, requiring you to walk at least 8 miles per day and carry a post bag, delivering letters and parcels.
  • Driving and on foot delivery will be required, and you will be required to push/pull a post trolley during deliveries.

Key Requirements:

  • You must hold a valid UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points.
  • Previous delivery or driving experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • You will need excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities are essential.
  • You must be able to work safely and responsibly, and be able to work outdoors in all weathers.
  • You will be required to work 5 days out of 7, including potential days at the weekend.
