Select Appointments is a renowned Engineering and manufacturing company based in Norwich, Norfolk. Due to their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Assistant Configuration Engineer to join their team.

About the Job

As the Assistant Configuration Engineer, you will be responsible for providing configuration control and administrative support to the Engineering team for the full life cycle of products. Key tasks include:

  • The creation and approval of engineering parts, documentation, and Bills of Material for release to manufacture and procurement.
  • Maintaining product structures and configuration items while ensuring the integrity of revised parts and documentation.
  • Adhering to agreed best practice policies and approved operating procedures in line with Configuration Management Principles and processes.
  • Ensuring all completed work and documentation is transferred efficiently and timely manner in accordance with the Configuration Manager's requirements.
  • Assisting the Configuration and Engineering Support Manager with general engineering administration duties.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A HND qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent working experience within a similar role.
  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • A flexible approach with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
