We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Receptionist to join our team at our Plymouth hospital. As a key member of our Administration department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operational function of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Meet and greet patients and visitors at reception, ensuring they have the necessary paperwork and ID.
- Book patients in, inform them of any information they require, and make them comfortable while informing the relevant person of their arrival.
- Answer calls from patients, GP surgeries, and other hospital departments on all aspects relating to booking appointments, admissions, and patient referrals.
- Record patient attendance and any failures to attend following the Did Not Attend (DNA) administration process.
- Process mail incoming and outgoing, manage the car parking pass allocation register, and provide administrative support to the wider team as needed.
We are looking for a candidate with strong administration experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be an effective communicator at all levels, able to ensure that all communications with patients are professional and courteous. You will also have strong organizational skills, be able to prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure.
