Commis Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Commis Chef to join our dynamic Kitchen Brigade at The Lion Inn in Chelmsford. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook elements of dishes, working closely with the kitchen team.
  • Contribute to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Support the kitchen team in delivering exceptional service, ensuring timely and efficient food preparation.
Essential Skills:
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Methodical and clean working approach, with attention to detail.
Ideal Skills:
  • Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards.
  • Minimum 6 months relevant experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Awareness of manual handling techniques and COSHH regulations.
  • Experience with kitchen equipment and hazardous substances.
