Job Title: Derivatives Middle Office Senior Analyst

Our client, a leading international Energy Trading company, is seeking a highly skilled Derivatives Middle Office Senior Analyst to join their team in Singapore.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Producing daily P&L reports and consolidating all trade book reports to ensure precision, consistency, and integrity.
  • Resolving queries from traders and other departments related to P&L impacting topics.
  • Raising queries to traders when proposed booking changes or business practices are unclear.
  • Bringing awareness and understanding to the impacts of deal changes or bookings on different departments.
  • Validating physical commodities and derivative deal entries to ensure accurate valuation within the ETRM.
  • Maintaining price curves and associated calendars.
  • Understanding funding requirements for futures and forwards and their impact on stakeholders.
  • Managing relationships with clearing brokers and clearing banks.
  • Monitoring trading activity and supporting Market and Credit risk monitoring.
  • Calculating the impacts of IR and FX on P&L and working with the Treasury team to ensure expected impacts and correct hedges.
  • Supporting Finance in month-end financial closing processes and explaining provision requirements.
  • Providing summary reporting on key analytics.
  • Synergizing with other teams in London to add value and gain greater insight.
  • Proposing and implementing innovative processes and calculation methods.
  • Ownership of Contract and confirmation management for financial trades.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a Commodity Trading environment.
  • Economics, finance, or similar quantitative-based degree.
  • Confident and clear communication style.
  • Consistent detail under pressure.
  • Comfortable with large data sets.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Capable of working autonomously.
