Job Title: Mechanical Training Specialist

Department: Learning & Development

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Training Specialist to join our team at Tata Steel UK. As a Mechanical Training Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of talent in the steel industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver training programs for mechanical apprentices
  • Develop and maintain training materials and resources
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure training approaches are efficient and effective
  • Provide support and guidance to learners to ensure a positive learning experience

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of machine workshop experience (lathe/miller)
  • Completion of a time-served apprenticeship
  • Previous experience operating and training individuals on mechanical workshop machines
  • Good understanding of the education system
  • Ability to deliver mechanical courses, including topics such as pumps, gearboxes, shaft alignment, and basic fitting
