Job Overview

The Behaviour Mentor will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide high-quality support to students with behaviour-related issues. This will involve building strong relationships with students, developing effective strategies to address challenging behaviour, and contributing to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised support plans for students.
  • To provide targeted interventions and strategies to address behaviour-related issues, including anger management and conflict resolution techniques.
  • To contribute to the development of a positive and respectful classroom environment, promoting social and emotional learning.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in education or a related field (e.g., psychology, sociology).
  • Experience of working with young people, particularly those with behaviour-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality support and making a positive impact on students' lives.
