Children's Residential Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead our children's residential care service in the Dover area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care provision, incorporating welfare, safety, and security of all children and young people in their care. They will promote our company's ethos as an activity-based organization and adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership role that requires excellent organizational skills, knowledge of Child Protection & Safeguarding, and a current driving license. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Senior or Strategic Role in a children's residential care setting and hold a Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Service or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities
  • To lead staff teams and manage staff effectively, promoting a positive work culture and encouraging professional development.
  • To communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders, ensuring open and transparent relationships.
  • To monitor and improve the overall quality of care provision, incorporating feedback from children, families, and staff.
Person SpecificationEssential Requirements
  • Age: over 20 years old (due to Ofsted regulations).
  • Experience: Senior or Strategic Role in a children's residential care setting.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Service or equivalent; GCSE in Maths and English at C Grade or above.
  • Skills: Physically fit, resilient, enthusiastic, motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, excellent organizational skills, knowledge of Child Protection & Safeguarding, and a current driving license.
Benefits
  • Estimated salary: £54,500 per annum + £1,500 on-call allowance, with potential to earn an Outstanding Ofsted bonus of £2,500.
