Job Summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to lead the unlicensed aseptic preparation of medicines. As the Accountable Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the preparation of medicines, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the unlicensed aseptic team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality medicines.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the aseptic preparation service.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Pharmacist and senior management team to ensure the aseptic service is aligned with the Trust's strategic objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including patients, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals.
