Accountable Pharmacist Leader

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to lead the aseptic preparation of medicines. As the Accountable Pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective preparation of medicines, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice standards and the Quality Assurance of Aseptic Preparation Services.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the aseptic preparation team, providing expert advice and guidance on technical services.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure timely access to medicines for patients, while maintaining a robust and cost-effective aseptic item supply.
- Support the Chief Pharmacist in leading the pharmacy aseptic service, in accordance with national priorities and local objectives.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control laboratory to ensure environmental monitoring and testing meet regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the senior management team to shape the technical service provision for the future.
