Accountable Pharmacist

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to lead the aseptic preparation of medicines. As the Accountable Pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective preparation of medicines, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice standards and Quality Assurance of Aseptic Preparation Services.
Main Responsibilities• Provide expert advice on technical services to other professionals
• Lead the unlicensed pharmacy aseptic team, acting as a role model and developing the team in line with the needs of the service
• Ensure patients have timely access to the medicines they need, through the operation of a robust, cost-effective, patient-oriented aseptic item supply, making optimal use of facilities and equipment
• Support the Chief Pharmacist to lead, deliver, develop, and evaluate the pharmacy aseptic service delivered under section 10 exemption of the Medicines Act 1968 and Regulation 4 of the Human Medicines Regulations 2012
