About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Custodial Rehabilitation Officer to join our team at Shaw Trust. As a key member of our team, you will work with participants in both custodial and community settings, providing high-quality support and guidance to help them overcome barriers to successful resettlement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of participants, ensuring they receive the necessary support and guidance to achieve agreed milestones.
  • Provide community-based support, working independently to deliver effective rehabilitation programs.
  • Develop strong relationships with participants, employers, and other stakeholders to promote successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure a holistic approach to rehabilitation, addressing the needs of participants and promoting their well-being.

Requirements

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including active listening and motivational skills, to support participants from diverse backgrounds.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the rehabilitation of prisoners and the ability to work independently.
  • An awareness, understanding, and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults.
