Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Comms to provide professional and technical support on project engineering duties within a Railway Systems Project delivery team. The role involves coordinating technical assurance, checking and coordinating the submission of assurance evidence for technical stage gates, and ensuring the acceptance of design, construction and commissioning of assets comply with technical and sponsor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate technical assurance activities as per HS2 assurance requirements
* Check and coordinate the submission of assurance evidence for technical stage gates
* Ensure the acceptance of design, construction and commissioning of assets comply with technical and sponsor requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Chartered Engineer or equivalent experience
* Experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering and safety standards, assurance activity on large complex major projects/ programmes
* Knowledge of Railway Systems design, construction and handover challenges within complex delivery programmes
* Commercial awareness including understanding of cost delivery, schedule targets and the need to deliver an integrated solution that meets all functional requirements
