Job Details:

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Learning Support Department as a Pastoral Assistant SEMH. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and barriers to learning.

About the Role:

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the SENCO and other members of the Learning Support Team to develop targeted interventions
  • Supporting students in the classroom and during individual or small group sessions
  • Liaising with teachers, Form Tutors, and year teams to ensure students receive tailored support
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of current developments in secondary education
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to motivate pupils and track progress through data analysis
