Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at The Action Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with additional support needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with individuals we support, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, household tasks, and meal preparation.
  • Support individuals to access community resources, engage in hobbies, and participate in social activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support and care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Practically-minded, with the ability to budget and manage a home, assess risk, and plan ahead.
  • A nice person, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, take responsibility, and ask for advice when needed.
  • Attention to detail, punctuality, and a commitment to following procedures.
  • Not afraid to think creatively, reflect on practice, and learn from experience.
