Academic Mentor for SEN

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Academic Mentor for SEN. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support to students with SEN, focusing on building their confidence and skills in a specific subject area.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Assist students with homework and projects, promoting independent learning and problem-solving skills.
  • Monitor student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and adjusting support strategies accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in education or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of students and staff.
