Job Title: Academic Mentor for SEN

Job Description:

About the Role:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Mentor for SEN to join our team at EdEx Education Recruitment. As an Academic Mentor for SEN, you will be responsible for providing academic support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide academic support to students with SEN and/or SEMH needs
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of students
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless support for students
  • Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
  • Collaborate with the SENCO to develop and implement strategies to support students with SEN and/or SEMH needs

Requirements:


  • Relevant experience working with students with SEN and/or SEMH needs
  • Strong understanding of SEN and SEMH needs and how to support students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting students with SEN and/or SEMH needs
