Job Title: Attendance Welfare Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Attendance Welfare Specialist to join our team at Hatched Recruitment Group. As an Attendance Welfare Specialist, you will be responsible for providing professional support to schools in the Tower Hamlets area to improve attendance and reduce absence rates.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will have significant experience of working with schools or other settings, demonstrating their ability to work with institutions effectively. They will also possess a thorough knowledge of the education system, understanding the importance of Early Help and Early Intervention to the education and wellbeing of children and regular attendance to achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor school attendance levels and assist in the development and review of whole school attendance policies.* Provide specialist support to schools in the Tower Hamlets area to improve attendance and reduce absence rates.* Contribute to the raising of achievement by improving attendance at school, working with other officers to provide co-ordinated support to schools and disseminate good practice.* Maintain knowledge and understanding of statutory duties and responsibilities related to school attendance and child and family wellbeing as contained in relevant legislation and guidance.* Provide a professional service to assist the Local Authority in meeting its statutory obligations regarding school attendance and pupil welfare.

Requirements:

* Significant experience of working with schools or other settings.* Thorough knowledge of the education system and understanding of the importance of Early Help and Early Intervention to the education and wellbeing of children and regular attendance to achievement.* Substantial knowledge and understanding of statutory duties and responsibilities related to school attendance and child and family wellbeing as contained in relevant legislation and guidance.* Ability to work with institutions effectively and contribute to the raising of achievement by improving attendance at school.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: £28/hour.
