Job Description:
We require a highly skilled teacher to teach English as a foreign language using the communicative method. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning engaging lessons, developing individualized learning plans, and assessing student progress. They will also participate in school observation programs, conduct student tutorials, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver interactive lessons that cater to individual student needs.
- Support with first-day testing, placement, and induction procedures as needed.
- Develop and administer daily homework assignments tailored to class needs.
- Offer substitute teaching services when necessary, in consultation with the Director of Studies.
- Participate in school observation programs, including peer observations.
- Lead fortnightly student tutorials and record agreed goals on our online platform.
- Mark and administer monthly progress tests, recording results on our online platform.
- Monitor student progress using confidence reports and dashboards on our online platform.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and level changes in consultation with the Director of Studies.
- Foster collaboration with teaching partners, providing handover information to new or substitute teachers.
Requirements:
- Essential: Teaching experience in an EFL school or summer centre, a recognized teaching qualification (CELTA or equivalent), and a bachelor's degree or higher.
- Desirable: Previous international experience.
- DELTA or equivalent certification is also highly valued.
Salary and Benefits:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive hourly rate of £18-£20, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, you will enjoy 25 days annual leave, bank holidays, and a birthday day off.
