About the Role

We are seeking a qualified KS2 SEN Teacher to join our team in Cranborne, Dorset. As a SEN specialist, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive classroom atmosphere, and collaborating with colleagues to support students with Autism and SEMH needs.

Estimated Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Develop and deliver high-quality lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs and abilities.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes social and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with SEN specialists and other staff to ensure comprehensive student support and progress monitoring.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and celebrate successes.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve teaching strategies to meet the evolving needs of students with Autism and SEMH.


Requirements and Qualifications
  • Hold QTS or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Proven experience teaching at the KS2 level, preferably in an SEN or alternative provision setting.
  • Strong understanding of Autism and SEMH, including their impact on learning and behavior.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
