About the Role

We are looking for a skilled SEN Support Assistant to join our team in Kent. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-to-one and group support for students with special educational needs, adapting learning materials to meet individual needs.
  2. Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  3. Implement personalized learning plans and offer emotional and behavioral support where necessary.
  4. Monitor student progress and report back to the class teacher and SENCO.
  5. Help with classroom management and student supervision during lessons, break times, and extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within an SEN setting.
  • A solid understanding of supporting children with various special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A proactive and empathetic approach, with a passion for helping students succeed.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to different learning environments.
  • The right to work in the UK.
