Job Summary

The National Education Union is seeking a highly skilled Regional Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our regional support team, you will play a vital role in supporting our members, activists, and lay officers across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic support to regional teams to deliver our strategic objectives
  • Undertake individual casework, advice on employment law and conditions of service, pay and bargaining, and recruitment and organising
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including members, activists, and lay officers
  • Contribute to the development of regional strategies and plans
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve our organisational goals

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of employment law, practices, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
