Plant Engineering Technician

Air Liquide seeks a highly skilled Plant Engineering Technician to join its team in supporting the delivery of effective maintenance services across IPG operations. This role is centered around providing proactive maintenance support, ensuring optimal plant performance, and enhancing overall business efficiency.
About the RoleAs a key member of our maintenance team, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Executing planned preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues related to plant equipment, working closely with designers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Documenting maintenance activities and updates in our dedicated computer maintenance management system.
- Contributing to the development of strategies for improving maintenance efficiency, aligning with company goals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with production teams to plan and execute maintenance activities.
- Utilizing expertise in mechanical engineering to resolve complex equipment issues.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, contractors, and external partners to facilitate smooth maintenance operations.
- Participating in health and safety initiatives to maintain a safe working environment.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
Preferably, you will hold:
- A recognized qualification in mechanical engineering (e.g., HND/HNC) or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with industrial machinery and processes.
